The history of the Arabic teaching in the institution goes back to its inception itself. The Department of Arabic of the college offers full-time three-year B.A. (Prog.) course. It’s qualified, competent and dedicated teachers adopt various updated methods to teach Arabic language and literature. The syllabus aims at producing candidates of high level proficiency in modern standard Arabic along with pre-modern period text. Emphasizing on all the four basic language skills- listening, speaking, reading and writing- the focus is put on enabling the students to meet the diverse academic and professional needs of the time and to fulfill the various job demands in India and abroad. The department also runs a literary Arabic society called ‘Al-Nadi Al-Arabi’ for the benefit of the students, which organizes several events including annual lecture.
