BAZM-E-ADAB is one of the prominent society of Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening). Its main objective is:

And to make them true Indian citizen who can understand the composite culture of India. |
It adds an excellent aspect to the college culture and the “Bazm-E-Adab” itself has a history which began from Madrassa Ghaziuddin Era (1710).The society has been working perfectly since the evening classes were started (in 1958).
Bazm-E-Adab managed by Department of Urdu (ZHDC Eve). The society composition comprise of one of the faculty member and students. Annually one of the urdu faculty member has been selected as its President and the post of General Secretary, Joint Secretary and Executive Committee Members have been selected amongst the URDU students in order to develop their hidden leadership quality. To achieve its objective, the society organises various programmes every year, special focus is on the social institutions of Urdu language and literature i.e., Mushaira, Qawwali, Chaar Bait, Ghazal Saraiee, Inter-College/University Ameer Khusro Ghazal Saraii Running trophy competition and Bait Baazi Competition is organised every year, Seminars etc are some of its main events organise in the college every year. Renowned poets, stupendous classical mestro, folks singers enlightened the occasions. Some of them are: Padam Shree Ali Sardar Jafri, Padam Shree Kaifi Azmi, Padam Shri Prof. Gopi Chand Narang, Late Prof Mohd Hasan, Padam Shri Prof. Sadiq-ul-Rehman Qidwayee, Mujtaba Husain, Anjum Usmani, Prof Shahper Rasool, Dr. Khalid Javed, Prof. Wahajuddin Alavi, Farhat Ahsas, Dr. S. Taqi Abedi (Germany), Iqbal Mirza (USA). Outstanding artists Jameel Ahmed, Syed Naved Qaiser, Ustad Zameer Ahmad, Ghazal Singers, folk singer Attan Amrohi, Mahfooz Rampuri are some of the noteworthy personalities that had came in the college.
